IFMA digital badging expanded to include FMP® and SFP®

IFMA is expanding new enhancements for its world-class suite of facility management (FM) credentials and certifications with the addition of digital badges for the FMP® (Facility Management Professional™) and the SFP® (Sustainability Facility Professional®) designations. Last month, IFMA introduced digital badging for the Certified Facility Manager® (CFM®) and Retired CFM® (RCFM®). IFMA is offering these web-enabled, shareable and verifiable versions of professional development accomplishments in partnership with Credly, a top digital badging company, through their platform, Acclaim.

“After such an enthusiastic response to digital badging from our CFM community, we’re excited to offer this new set of features to FM professionals who have earned the must-have FMP or the environmentally focused SFP,” said IFMA Chief Operating Officer Don Gilpin. “Today, it’s more important than ever for FM professionals to be able to demonstrate their knowledge and skills to employers. Digital badging is the latest innovation to present that value, which is why IFMA is the first FM organization to offer it.”

IFMA is now offering digital badging at no additional cost to facility professionals who have earned their CFM, RCFM, FMP or SFP. It works by providing a graphic badge for use on social media, websites or email signature lines. The graphic links to a web page that not only verifies the authenticity and date of the accomplishment, but details the knowledge, skills and requirements behind it.
